Who are your teachers?

Lee-Anne Gilmour

Principal

Lee-Anne began dancing at the age of 8. This remained a hobby until at the age of 17 she was encouraged to start taking her dance training more seriously. Attending 2 dance schools, one for ballet and the other for Modern, Jazz, Tap and Contemporary she began to up her training. As a young adult she attended Anniesland College and attained her HNC in Dance Community and then progressed to attend Bird College in London attaining her National Diploma in Dance and Musical theatre Performance. Her performance experience includes featuring in music videos and dancing with a few performance groups, however she knew early on in her career that teaching was her true calling.  From then on she focused all her energy into teaching, working over the years for many Dance schools across the west of Scotland and spending a large part of her early career working for Active Schools in Renfrewshire teaching dance to children as part of breakfast, lunchtime and afterschool clubs. She later decided to move on from Active Schools and focus on building up her own Dance Academy. She studied to gain her teachers through the UKA in Ballet, Contemporary and Tap and through Acrobatic Arts she most recently qualified as a teacher in Acro Dance. She remains passionate and committed to her career as a Dance Teacher and Academy owner and continues to attend specialist workshops,  as well as updating and progressing through her teaching qualifications to ensure she is able to pass on the best, safest and most efficient up to date teaching methods to her students.

Morgan Fehlberg

Teacher

OurStreet Dance and Jazz Dance teacher, Morgan, is currently studying in her final year at Dance Studio Scotland and is hoping to move to London to attain her degree next year. Her performance experience is varied and extensive including competing at manyworld competitions, battles, commonwealth games, Go dance, fashion shows, The infinite Times Music Awards and local performances include Christmas events, summer events and guest performances in dance school shows.
With her main focus on Street Dance, Morganhas been dancing for around 10 years. Throughout her training she has learned from many amazing talents and has gained great knowledge both in street dance and more recently technique dance, ballet, contemporary and jazz.
She is a very focused and attentive teacher who thrives on passing her passion on.
“What I love about teaching is passing on knowledge and seeing young people grow. Dance is such a social thing and I love that I can teach and bring people together. I aim to improve young dancers, knowledge, confidence, skills and bring fun into their experience also!”
